FOSS Bangladesh 2012
FOSS Bangladesh is going to celebrate the "Linux Day - 2012" here, in Bangladesh on Saturday, August 25, 2012 along with the global community as of the past years. All the Bangladeshi users, lovers, enthusiasts and interested ones of Linux based distros are welcome to join in this event. It's a day long, Open for all event.
Venue: Narshingdi Govt. College, Narshingdi.
Event duration: 10.00 -- 16.00 hours (local time = GMT+6:00).
Event Plan:
10:00 - 10:30 -- Rally on foot along with banners and festoons.
10:30 - 11:00 -- Welcome + Opening Speeches.
11.00 - 16:00-- There will be banners and festoons showing the history and moments, developments information etc. of various Free Softwares and GNU/Linux. Along with these, there will be localized video shows representing Software Freedom, GNU and Linux movements and many more.
There will be a GNU/Linux install and support service booth for the participants, from where they could have the support for free to install GNU/Linux distros on their Desktop/Laptop/Netbook. Moreover DVD's containing GNU/Linux distros will be also available here for the participants.

About FOSS Bangladesh:
We, various professionals had joined together and formed this organization to promote free softwares and spread out knowledges about software freedom in Bangladesh.

All the Executive members are serving this organization voluntary and managing the legal, communication and financial issues as per the country rules where it is registered as a non-profitable, voluntary organization.
Along with these Executive members we have a lot of volunteers with us and they are helping in organizing various events and programs along with providing free of cost end user support on using GNU/Linux. Each and everyone of these people are working totally voluntary and they are continuing with these for their love, dedication and passion for an IT enabled, Free, Happy and Prosperous Bangladesh, which is the main goal of FOSS Bangladesh.
